3D Printed Propeller Launcher for Propeller Testing (Or Just a Silly Little Toy)

Hi, I'm Link and I'm here to show you how to make a 3D Printed propeller tester (or just a fun little toy to use) for all your RC airplane needs! Feel free to augment and experiment with any provided 3D print files and have some fun doing so!

Supplies

The following are supplies needed for the project!

  1. A computer with a web browser
  2. A 3D printer
  3. The STL files for the print (Demo propeller is optional!)

Picking a Propeller to Test

So! You want to test a propeller, pick out a TinkerCAD supported filetype (STL or OBJ) of the propeller you want to test! Or use the Demo Propeller from the supply list!

Mold the Launcher Into the Propeller

So, this may be a little bit tricky for people new to TinkerCAD, so we'll do this step by step!


First, Import your propeller into TinkerCAD

Second, Import the Launcher Mold STL into TinkerCAD

Third, Overlap the Launcher mold over the propeller's midsection and select 'Hole' on the color of the launcher mold

Lastly, select both and press 'Group'

Export the File, Aaand Print!

Lastly, export the propeller, put it in your favorite slicer, and put it to print along with the other 3D print files included!
