Winter Holidays just finished and decided myself to share how to make a LED powered Christmas Tree using 3D Printing and very basic electronics.

Required Material

You will need a soldier to solder the wires to the LED and to the battery holder. For the circuit, you need the following components:

  • An LED
  • Battery Holder for CR2032 type batteries
  • CR2032 battery
  • A 220Ω resistor
  • Wiring

3D Printing

You need to 3D print the parts. You can grab the STL files from Thingiverse. You can print in whatever color you choose, buy you need to use transparent filament color for the top of the tree, so the light can pass through.

Solder and Finish

Use 2 wires to go through the stick. At the top extreme, solder the resistor and the LED. In the lower part of the tree, solder the battery holder.

And only thing is to stick together the plastic parts
