Design Soap Dish

I used python in grasshopper generate gcode directly, using nozzle width and distance between points to calculate the extrusion rate. I designed the walls of the dish to have overlapping layers that were displaced with a sine wave whose frequency was greater on the sides. I chose a small form factor to fit on my shower shelf, but didn't really account for the 15% shrinkage, so the piece came out a bit smaller than I hoped.

Printing took around 5 minutes and turned out well. The base layer took a little effort to get it to stick properly.
Design Mug

The mug followed a similar design process: Python in grasshopper to generate gcode. I wanted a pattern that would be easy to hold in one's hand.

I think it turned out nicely. I may have overcompensated for the shrinkage this time as the mug turned out a little bit bigger than anticipated. I'm not sure it will be the easiest mug to wash, but that's ok.
