Hi All.

I already own a couple wooden brain teasers, and I've really enjoyed them; so I decided to print one to add to my collection. I based this design off some pictures I found online and the puzzles I have at home. This puzzle is made up of twelve identical plastic pieces.

What You'll Need

Tools You'll Need:

- 3D Printer with minimum build volume of 3 in x 1 in x 1in (76mm x 25mm x 25mm)

- Your Brain (optional)

Materials You'll Need:

- Plastic Printer Filament

I happened to print this in ABS, but pretty much any filament would work.

Print Your Puzzle

Once you've got your printer and filament ready to go, print the puzzle. Download the STL file below and configure the gcode with a CAM software. I used the following settings when printing my parts:

Layer Height: 0.2mm

Infill: 25%

Shells: 2

You will need to print twelve copies of the puzzle piece. Additionally, the puzzle pieces will print just fine on their own with no support material needed.

You could print the puzzle in one solid color, or if you want to make the puzzle a bit more interesting, you could print some pieces in different colors so you can create patterns in your assembled puzzle.

Assemble Your Puzzle

After all twelve pieces are completely printed, you're ready to solve your puzzle. Interlock the puzzle pieces to arrange then in the completed form shown above.

I am not going lay out step-by-step assembly instructions in this post (cause that's kind of the whole point of a puzzle); but for those of you who want the easy route, I'll include this link here to some instructions I found online.

Enjoy!

So there it is. You now have a 3D Printed Brain Teaser Puzzle. Thanks for reading this post; hope you have fun with the puzzle. Enjoy!
