Growing up in an apartment with steam heat that had not been serviced in years, I was unable to turn on and off the heat valve because of the force required. My grandma, who has severe arthritis, is also unable to turn the valve open and closed. This led me to create a device which grips the radiator valve knob with rubber and then provides a large, ergonomic handle with ample leverage. Now, everyone in my household can use the heat and stay warm. I hope you all find this useful. Also included in this design is the full F3z file so you can customize it to fit your needs!

Supplies

3D Printer (I used a Bambu Labs P1)

3D Printer Filament (I used Bambu Labs Basic PLA Black)

Rubber Pads (Duct tape is what I used and works fine) to grip the radiator valve

Handle Grip STL (Linked below)

Download the STL File and Slice It for Your Printer

Use the attached images to set the correct print settings on your slicer of choice (I used Bambu Studio). Make sure to enable supports! I have attached the STL to this step and the Bambu Sliced file in case you are using a Bambu Printer.

Apply Duct-tape or Rubber Pads to the Shaft Grip
