3D Printable Adjustable Gear Phone Stand

IMG-8067.jpg

This is a guide on how I designed and created a small gear phone stand. This stand is able to adjust angles for the device while still securely holding it in place. This stand also has a hole where the charging port of your device will sit, allowing you to charge your device while it is on the stand. Most of the design for this project was done in SOLIDWORKS.

Supplies

  • FDM 3D Printer
  • Filament of choice (Colored PLA pictured)

Design the Parts

For this step, SOLIDWORKS was used to create the gears and give them the correct spacing needed to change angles of the stand.

This stand comes with two parts:

1) Internal Gear Base

2) External Gear Spur

I attached the stl. files for these parts below. No supports are required for the print if you orientate the file as shown in the pictures. This design was meant to be as small as possible while still being a reliable phone stand, so if the given file does not fit your device, feel free to print at a higher scale.
