3D Press Fit

For this week, I tried making flat cards which can be combined together via 3D press fit technique.

Creating the Outline and Then the Card

I first started with a basic rectangle of 2cmx4cm. Then I made ridge outline along the edges of the rectangle. To get a ridge, I used CurveBoolean, and selected which face to keep. Then after I got the outline of the card, I extruded it to be a solid object of thickness 1.5mm. Then, I made multiple copies of the card and then exported to Ultimaker Cura for Slicing.

Then I sliced the cards in Cura, it shows about 2 hours, for them to finish printing!!

You can combine them in different ways, with different quantities of them and get different desgins!
