3D Barn in Autodesk
When thinking of my design for a school project I wanted to do something different then a house. I wanted it to have a personal meaning to me. That's when I came up with the idea to make a barn and an arena inside for lessons.
Supplies
The supplies you will need for this project is:
Computer or Laptop
Paper and Pencil (for designing)
Fusion
Phone (for pictures)
Floor
To start making your very own 3D barn, you will first need to create the floor. To create the floor plan you will need to create a rectangle 25x18cm floor. Once you have the sketch laid out, you will then press "finish sketch". to create the floor you will need to extrude your sketch by 0.4cm and press enter. Now you have the base of your barn and you can start working on putting up the walls.
Walls
For the 4 main walls you will need to make the 2 longer sides 25 by 18cm and the he 2 shorter sides 16 by 22cm. Once you have done that pick one of the 25 by 18cm walls and create a 5 by 5cm square at the bottom that will act as the entrance.
Roof
Now that you have the base of your barn you can create the roof. Create a sketch on top of on of the 16 by 22cm side walls. Then create one side of your roof starting at the top corner of the 16 by 22cm wall and go diagonal to the top 25 by 18cm rectangle. Repeat on the other side.
Arena
Now you are ready to create the arena for your barn. First turn off the sketch for the roof so that you can see the inside of your barn. For the arena walls you will want to make the walls 2cm out in each direction starting from the middle. Then create a sketch on the floor with two 0.4cm rectangles for the wall and make both heights 16cm tall.
Stalls
When you create the stalls you will need to leave room for a hallway aswell. When you start putting up the walls for the stalls, make sure you have started 1cm away from the arena walls. Once you have found that spot create a sketch and put up a side wall the height of 16cm every 2cm, stopping when you hit the entrance and starting again once you’re past it. Repeat on other side of the barn.
Lockers
Then you have reached your final step in creating your very own barn. Making lockers in every stall. You can pick whether you want your lockers all on the left, right or a mix of both. Pick a wall and go 1cm back then 1cm into the stall creating a 16cm tall wall. Then from that point go 1cm forward creating another 16cm tall wall. Repeat step for every stall that you want to have a locker.
Final Steps
For your final steps, you can stop and leave it as is, or you can add details to the outside or inside of your barn. The choice is up to you!
