3 Ways Of Making Porygon 三种制作多边兽的方式
Recently I've been making videos to show some of my ideas.
And I always get feedback from audience that they want to make something too, but do not have equipment like 3D-Printers.
So to ecourage them, I'm trying to show making something in different methods. Some just need daily stuffs to make.
These three Porygons(a Pokemon) are made in three different ways.
But they are based on a same model I designed in Fusion360.
最近我一直在制作视频展示我的一些想法。
我总是收到观众的反馈,他们也想做些东西,但是没有3D打印机之类的设备。
为了鼓励他们,我试着用不同的方式制作一些东西,有的只用日常物品即可制作。
这里的3只多边兽(一种宝可梦),使用3种不同的方式。
但它们都是基于同一个我在Fusion360中制作的模型。
Supplies
Three methods are:
- 3D Printing: All you need is printing out the parts and assemble directly.
- 2D Printing(Paper-Folding): Print out the images on paper(A4) or cardbord. Cut, fold and assemble.
- It's still a concept, I think it might be interesting if come to market.
三种方式为:
- 3D打印:只需打印出来直接组装。
- 2D打印(折纸):把图案打印在卡纸(A4)上. 裁切、折叠并组装。
- 目前是一个概念,如果进入市场或许会很有趣。
First Method: 3D-Printing 3D打印
It's a box, you can put in some small stuffs.
In Pokemon cartoon, Porygon uses disks for evolution. So I put in my usb-disks.
Head, tail and feet are movable.
它是个盒子,你可以放些小东西进去。
在宝可梦动画中,多边兽使用数据碟进化。所以我放的是u盘。
头,尾巴和脚都可以活动。
Second Method: Paper-Folding 折纸
It occurs to me that all faces of Porygon are flat, so it's easy to make one with cardbord.
Base on the model I designed in Fusion360, I put all faces on a flat surface, and use 'Drawing' (In the second picture)
to create a PDF.
Print out the PDF below, cut the shapes out, fold and assemble with tape or glue.
This one is not a box like the 3D-Printing one. It can be designed as a box, you can try.
我意识到多边兽都是由平面构成,所以很容易用卡纸制作。
基于我在Fusion360中的模型,我把所有面片都放到同一平面,使用“工程图”功能(图二所示)生成PDF文件。
将下方PDF文件打印出来,裁剪出形状,折叠并用双面胶拼接。
我并没有像上一个3D打印多边兽一样把它做成盒子,但是你也可以试试。

Third Method: an Interesting Concept 一个有趣的想法
This is an idea. It's an extension of the Paper-Folding Porygon.
It can work as packages for something.
For example, for fast food in the first picture.
When done eating, you can assemble the packages together by the slots with your bare hands. As shown in the second picture.
这只是一个想法。是折纸多边兽的延伸。
可以作为产品的包装。
例如图1中的快餐。
吃完后,你可以利用如图二中的插缝,徒手拼装。
