3 Steps to Fix a Stripped Screw Hole in Plastic

Have you ever stripped a screw in plastic or a 3d printed part? So have I many, many, many times. I think it's because I am so strong or because I am not paying attention.

This instructable will show you how I fix a stripped hole in plastic so you can screw it back up!

You will need the following:

Gorilla glue: I use the small tubes.

Toothpick: to smear the glue.

Screwdriver: don't use an electric drill. Maybe using one of those got you here in the first place.

Hand Vise and small drill: you may need to fix the hole after the glue dries.

Put a tiny amount of Gollra Glue on the toothpick's end and coat the hole inside. You don't need much, just enough to put a thin coat inside the hole.

This is by far the most challenging step. Wait overnight for the glue to dry and expand. If you don't wait, you will glue the screw in the hole, and that will screw things up.

After waiting, the hole will look for something similar to this. If there were more glue in there, drilling it out would be necessary.

Now get your screw and screw it in the hole. Don't over-tighten it this time.
