3 Minute No Sew Basement Curtain

I have my man cave set up in the basement of our apartment. It has a window which is nice when I am just relaxing down there, but sometimes I just want to watch a movie, play some video games, or goof around on my computer without the light intruding on me or casting glares. Since it is such a small window and I am not much of a seamstress, I wanted to make a no-sew option to solve this problem while still giving me the option to enjoy the light when I wanted it. So without further ado, I present for your consideration, the 3 minute no-sew curtain.

Supplies

This is an easy one folks. All you will need is an adjustable curtain rod (it can even be a tiny one) and a standard pillow case. Crazy right?

Size the Curtain Rod

To properly size the rod, place one in the window. Rotate the ends of the rod to make it longer/shorter. Remember to make it just a little bit long so make sure it will stay in place.

Place the Rod in the Pillow Case

At this time, do just as the title implies. Feed the rod along one of the edges of the pillow case, letting it lay flat along the entire length of the rod if possible.

Install the Curtain

To install, place one end of the curtain rod into the edge of the window. Compress the rod to fit it into the window opening. Be sure that you can put your fingers in between the top of the window and the curtain rod so it can open and close freely.

Finished!
