2x4 Challenge- Chess Board

This is a step by step guide on how to make a chess board with one 2x4

Supplies

one 2x4, glue, and lead pencil

Use the miter saw to cut your 2x4 into 4 12 inch pieces save leftovers of your 2x4 for later

Use the planer on your 4 pieces and begin gluing process

Make the outline in your chess board making it 8 1 ½ inch squares long and wide making 64 squares

Use the leftover 2x4 that we saved and cut your chess pieces to length Pawns 1 ½ inch, Knight and rook 2 inches, bishop to 2 1/4 inch, queen 2 ½ inch and king and 2 ¾ inch
