24 Holiday Sugar Cookies
Here's 9 easy steps to create Holiday Cookies for the Season!
Prep.
You'll need:
- 1 Stick of butter (Pre softened for 2-3 hours. Not melted.)
- Sugar cookie mix
- 1 Table Spoon
- A bowl and a mixing spoon
- 1 Egg
Make sure to wash you're hands before you start baking.
Add the Ingredients Together.
Now, put the cookie mix in first. Once it's in crack the egg and then release it into the cookie mix. Make sure no eggshells get in the mix; you don't want that. Then add the soften butter and 1 table spoon of water.
Mix.
Mix until the cookie batter is nice and doughy. You can either use a spoon or your hands to mix. Make sure to get all the cookie mix this way or your batter might still be powdery.
Cookie Sheets.
Now get 2-3 cookie sheets (depending how big they are).
Roll Your Dough.
Take a teaspoon (or a regular spoon) and scoop. Then you must roll it in your hand into 1-2 inch balls (make sure you wash your hands for this part especially) and place it onto the cookie sheet also 1-2 inches apart.
Bake.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Once that's done place the cookies into the oven, carefully, and put them in for 8-10 minutes. You can watch the cookies, or entertain yourself during that time.
Wait.
Once that's done, take the cookies out with oven mitts so you don't burn yourself, and put them on the stove and let them cool.
Frost the Cookies.
Now take vanilla frosting and a butter knife and carefully (or if you just want globs of frosting you can do that, too) put on the frosting. Do this for all the cookies.
Sprinkles!
When all 24 cookies are frosted, now comes the sprinkles! I personally have red and green for christmas, but you can have other colors of sprinkles and use those to your hearts content. And with that, you're done!
