Have you ever unexpectedly had someone come over late at night with all the stores closed and you wanted to impress them with a bite to eat but not interfere with your "chill" time? (and you have a typical bachelor "stocked" fridge with mostly condiments)

This is my GoTo dish... it only has two ingredients* and it only takes 10 minutes to make.

I introduce you to the 2 ingredient Bachelor Pork Stir-fry...

*Yes there is a garnish and a side of rice but either or both could be left off or substituted with what you have laying around so I do not include them as ingredients (I just wanted sexier food porn pictures).

** And yes the one ingredient is Ketchup.. don't turn up your nose, people put Ketchup on almost everything from fries to burgers to steak to eggs.. also cooking the ketchup transforms it so that it no longer tastes like ketchup! It has a bit of a sweet / salty/ tangy flavor and it is thick enough to coat the pork but not drown it.

  • When pork is cooked add 5 tbsp of Ketchup
  • Continue stirring until each piece is coated and the Ketchup looks to be a more of an orange color

Make It Fancy If You Want..

And you are done!

OR...

If you want to be a bit fancy...

Make some white rice, pack it into a small bowl and empty that upside down on the plate.

I had a package of crackers that had sesame & poppy seeds on them and at the bottom of the container there were a bunch of seeds that fell off. Take a pinch of these seeds and sprinkle these over the rice and the pork. If you have some fresh herbs take a tiny sprig and place it on the top of the rice for added color.

But that is that... 2 ingredients, 10 minutes and a dish you can be proud of!
