I wanted to make a truck since my friend loved this truck. I also wanted to see how far my current knowledge of 3D modeling would take me in this personal project.

You will need any 3D modeling software and a 3D printer
Idea

The idea was to model the image since my friend loved this truck. I needed to know what I was going to do and where to start.
Research

I need to see what the body would look like and how big I would like it. In addition, I would also need to know what parts of the truck will need to have detail.
Starting

I need to sketch an image of the C-10 to have the size and body correct. Then extrude all the sides so that I would have the sides that have the same size would be together.
Modeling

Since I have a boxy outline of the truck. I would need to add some details so the truck is not as bland. I added headlights, grills, and windows in the model by adding an image to trace and then extrude.
Detailing

Adding the name of the truck and air vents to the engine. The name was added to the grill and air vents were added to a flat spot so the sketch would match. After all the prepping, I extruded what was need to be extruded to create the name and the air vent.
Smoothing

For all the edges I would like to have smooth to my preference. I smoothed out the sides of the whole truck so it would have a nice feel when you rub your fingers around. The tool used to create that would be called something like fillet or chafer. Then the 1962 C-10 truck is finished.
