1:64 Cardboard Barrier

A roughly 1:64(S) scale barrier for table top games out of cardboard. Hope you enjoy!

Supplies

  1. Template(Black lines=cut)(Gray lines=fold)
  2. Hobby knife
  3. 1mm cardboard(cereal box)
  4. Pencil
  5. Super glue
  6. Gray/White paint
  7. Paint brushes
  8. Ruler(optional)

Cutting Out the Template

Print out the template and trace it onto the cardboard or cut it out on top of the cardboard. You'll want to score along the red lines on the visible side of your barrier(the side you'll paint) and the green lines on the inside side.

Assembly

It's basically just fold and glue. You'll have to cut out some extra strips of cardboard to cover the shapes you cut out as seen in the first picture. Use the pictures if you need help in assembly.

Painting

As you can see I started with a base coat of black but then realized it wasn't necessary. Start with a full coat of gray and then dry brush on lighter gray (I used the same gray color with some white added). If you don't know, dry brushing is where you get paint on the brush and then brush most of it off on a piece of paper before you apply it to what you're painting. Fairly simple. That's it!!
