1080p HDR Toning in Photoshop

Hey guys in this episode we are going to learn all about enhancing an image with HDR Toning, utilizing High Pass, Blur, Curves plus a few other effects really gives us a crystal clear image.

Drag and drop the image you are going to use into Adobe Photoshop. Ctrl & J to make a Duplicate. Select Filter, Other, High Pass, set the radius to between 3 & 4.5, press OK. Change the blend mode to vivid light, this adds the first layer of hdr toning. Right click in the layers panel and select flatten image.

Make another duplicate ( Ctrl & J ) Filter, Other, High pass, radius between 6.8 & 7. Change the blend mode to color and reduce the opacity to around 20%. This adds the second layer of hdr toning in Photoshop. Flatten Image.

Create a duplicate, Filter, Blur, Gaussian Blur, set the radius to between 9 & 10. Add a layer mask and invert ( Ctrl & I ) use the brush tool with the foreground color set to white and paint in the blur and adjust the opacity. Flatten Image.

Create a duplicate, Filter, Sharpen, Un sharp Mask, set the amount to below 90%, radius around 20 pixels. threshold 0. This really brings through the full hdr effect.

Go to Image, Adjustments, curves, and adjust the curve upwards or downwards to lighten or darken the image.
