Hi guys! Today, I will be teaching you all how to make a super easy, super quick pom pom with only 1 (technically 2) item!

Supplies

1: Yarn of any type (though I used a thinner, thread type material)

2: Scissors

Starting Off

First, find the end of your yarn and place it in between your middle and index fingers.

Winding

Start to wind the yarn around your full hand, excluding your thumb. Try to keep the threads close together for this.

Bunching the Yarn

Make sure that as you continue to wind the yarn around your fingers, you keep the strands of yarn close together to eliminate holes and prevent any issues in the future.

Finishing Up

Once you finish winding your yarn, cut off a bit of string and lay it flat on your table or work space. Next, lie your yarn on top of the string, and tie it tight, twice.

Cut Loose

After you tie your yarn, there should be two loops, one on each end of the tied knots. Place your scissors into the loop and cut each loop open. Be sure not to accidentally cut the string holding the knot down. (Like me...)

Trimming the Tassels

After cutting the loops open, you should have very long tassels for your new pom pom. To trim it down to size, roll it into a ball, and flatten it. Then, press the middle between your thumb and pointer finger, and trim around it in a circle shape. Repeat rolling this process until you are satisfied.

Finished!
