π 3D House Design With Indoor Pool

Hello everyone!
This is a 3D model of a modern-style house that I created using Fusion 360. The house is designed for comfort, style, and function. The most unique feature is the indoor swimming pool, which sits in the center of the house. The design includes bedrooms, a kitchen, a library, a bar, and more. In this guide, I will show you how I created this project, step by step, using a simple 2D plan and turned it into a full 3D model.
This project is great for students, designers, architects, or anyone who wants to learn how to turn a house plan into a 3D model.
Supplies
to create this 3D house, I used the following:
- Fusion 360 software β for 3D modeling
- 2D house plan β for layout and design guidance for example sketchbook
- Textures β to give realistic materials like wood, tiles, and walls
- οΈ 3D Printer (optional) β to turn the model into a physical one
2D House Plan

Before I started the 3D modeling, I made a hand-drawn floor plan. This helps to organize the rooms and plan how people will move through the space. Here's a quick description of the rooms I included:
- Kitchen (KΓΌche) and Dining Room (Esszimmer): Next to each other for easy access.
- Living Room (Salon): Curved design to feel open and modern.
- Library (Biblio): A round quiet space to read and relax.
- Swimming Pool (Piscine): In the center, surrounded by windows and seating.
- Bedroom 1 & Bedroom 2 (Zimmer 1, Zimmer 2): Private and located away from noisy areas.
- Bathrooms (Badezimmer): One near each bedroom.
- Bar Area: Near the pool for entertainment.
- Garden (Garten): Outside for nature and fresh air.
Creating the 3D Model

I used Fusion 360 to build the house model. Here are the steps I followed:
1. Building the Structure
I started with the outer walls, following the 2D plan. I used the βCreate Sketchβ tool to draw the outline, then used βExtrudeβ to pull the walls up.
2. Adding Rooms
Each room was made by sketching rectangles and walls. I used βSplit Bodyβ to divide spaces.
3. Doors and Windows
To make the house feel real, I added openings using βCutβ and βHoleβ tools. I made sure every room has windows for light and airflow.
4. Furniture and Details
In the kitchen, I added counters. In the library, I added shelves. The pool area has two lounge chairs and steps into the water.

Materials and Textures

Fusion 360 allows you to add realistic materials to each surface.
- Wood floor: For the living room and bedrooms
- Marble tiles: For the pool and bathrooms
- Brick walls: For some interior spaces
- Striped wallpaper: For a modern bedroom look
This helps you imagine how the house would look in real life.
3D Printing the Model
If you want to print the model:
- Export as STL files: Each room or section can be saved.
- Use slicing software like Cura to prepare it.
- Print it with a 3D printer using PLA or ABS.
- Assemble and paint the model to make it beautiful.
This was a fun and creative project. I learned a lot about space planning, design, and using Fusion 360. The indoor pool makes the house special and relaxing. You can use this idea to make your own house design or improve it with your style.
